For those more interested in the social side of running than the competitive side there are people out running almost every lunchtime who would be happy to run with you. These runs tend to be between three and six miles. Some days you will find that there is a group running a longer distance if that is what you prefer. This can be ten miles or more, although, as always, all are welcome and most routes are circuitous so that shorter (or longer!) versions are possible. During the summer, a regular highlight is the "Two Ferries" run. The course for this is down to Mudeford Quay, take the ferry to Hengistbury Head, run to Wick, ferry back across the Stour and then run back to site. This is about eight miles - although the precise distance can be varied by short-cuts etc. - and is usually well attended.
